About Me

Standing next to the cliff

Howdy! I'm Natalie a.k.a. Natty.

I grew up in the Northern part of Poland and at a very young age I made an insane step to live and work abroad. Therefore, without any hesitation I quit my job in Poland, left my family and friends and travelled to Germany where I had zero money in my pocket, did not know anyone and did not know a word in German.

Wait a second! Yes, before my journey, I picked a babysitter job for a Polish family who kindly paid for my expenses in return to look after their 7 years old daughter and if I put effort to learn to speak German ( es war nicht einfach!). Let's move on, I also lived for a couple of months in sunny España, and for the past 15 years I have lived in scenic Scotland.

What else can I write, other than I am just like you, an ordinary person enjoying and trying to get the most out of life.  In my free time I look after my doggie Rusco, do volunteer work, charity runs, hike in Scottish hills, play board games, dance cèilidh and read a non-fiction books, basically anything that comes to my mind. I've worked for multiple industries from cleaning job to office role, and at age of 35 I've completed degree in Environmental Science. Since I was a wee kid I've always dreamt of seeing the World, learning a foreign language and meeting new people but how did I do that if I had a limited budget? The💡idea of starting this blog is to share with you, beautiful souls, that you don't need to be rich to fulfill your dreams! You don't need to be a genius or know the language to enjoy exploring places and last but not least you definitely don't need to have a plus one to go abroad. Why so? On your voyage you will meet plenty of new inspiring and interesting people, you just need the right recipe to give you strenght to talk to them. So please stay with me on board, and don't hesitate to ask me any questions about my trips and I hope the advices I provide to you can help you to enhance your journey.

How I Got Started

At the age of 16, I acquired a Polish passport and, as a commendable student in High school, I was gifted an incredible surprise by a Residential Institution—a coveted spot aboard the Polish Rotary Barquentine to voyage across the Mediterranean Sea. It was on this journey that I first laid eyes on the breathtaking regions of Liguria: Genoa, Imperia, Monte-Carlo, and Corsica Island. This experience ignited my lifelong dream to travel the world!

What Are My Top Destinations

There isn't a single place that tops my list as the ultimate destination. Why, you ask? Because every location conceals fascinating facts, secret treasures, remarkable architectural styles, distinctive cultural traditions, and the delectable flavors of its cuisine. The people in each place have their own unique life stories and talents. Moreover, the landscape in each country is distinct and unparalleled.

Sustainable Trip = Saved Cost

A sustainable trip, as defined by numerous sources, is one where transportation does not harm the environment, while still allowing for enjoyment and economic growth support. It's challenging to travel globally without resorting to long-haul flights, which produce significant carbon emissions. Consequently, traveling to closer destinations results in lower carbon emissions, as well as time and cost savings. At  Budget fare (secureserversites.net), you will discover a variety of useful tips on transportation options, accommodations, dining, and other aspects that can help you maintain sustainability.
