Quintana Roo
Quintana Roo is the youngest state of Mexico located on the southerneaster part. Quintana Roo was officialy named after Andre's Quintana Roo who was a liberal politican and lawyer and that place was his favourite family holiday spot. This region offers the most beautiful white sandy beaches ⛱ crystal clear water, delicious food and vibrant nighlife. During my trip I booked 5 nights in Tulum and slept inside a bungalow facing a beach. The bungalow was made of bamboo and straws where you could feel a fresh air of breezy sea, the bed had a net around it to protect against flies and on the little table there was a candle to use instead of light switch. To get to the restaurant or restroom you needed to walk outside on the sand and each area was made with the same bamboo materials, it was like a little bungalow town. While you are there you can walk to the beach where the vendors opens a freshly cut coconut and water inside taste insanely delicious! You can take a boat from Tulum beach to snorekel over the reefs and touch sea cucumbers. The bus transportation link is really good, you can take a bus from the main bus station from Tulum to Playa del Carmen. The journey takes only 50 min and cost 120 Mexican pesos, that's less than £6. While you are at Playa del Carmen please visit the Theme Xcrat park where you can see all incredible exotic animals leaving free outside the cages, take a swim within caves, see the shows, swim with sharks or dolphines! The place offers so much that I was not able to see everything in 1 day , it was worth every penny I collected amazing memories for a lifetime and you will too!
Cozumel Island
Cozumel Isla was first time discovered in 1518 by Spanish expedition Jaun de Grijalva. The isla offers a vibrant beaches and undoubtedly best place for boat tours with snorkeling and scuba diving. Unless you are not into watersports or want to do e-bike tour around Isla to visit local churches parks and taste delicious tacos. The terrain in Cozumel is flat so to complete the 65 km coastal route on a bike 🚲 on a paved road can be accomplished in a day with breaks 😀 There are many bike rental places , usually the resort will advise you the closest spot to where you stay , and rental place can offer hourly or daily rate.
